Massive congratulations to Tommy Seers who has signed for Manchester United!
Tommy is a lad that started his grassroots journey at the same time our club formed! He was just 5 years old when he joined and he was turning heads from his very first game.
A boy that shows absolutely no fear on the football field, throwing his body quite literally in-front of anything. As well as being fearless, he possesses a calmness with the ball at his feet, and agility like no other in clawing shots from every corner of the net. We’ve seen this boy make saves that we didn’t think were humanly possible for a boy of his age!
An insanely talented goalkeeper, but also a ridiculous leader on the pitch. Whether that’s constantly helping his defenders with a voice from the back, or delivering his own half time team talks to the boys, his team listens to every word he says!
Tommy thrives under pressure, and penalties are his speciality! Tommy’s last ever contribution to our team was in his Primary Cup Final, where he saved two penalties in the penalty shoot out to take his team to victory!
Huge thanks must also go to Tommy’s parents and family. He has been the most sought after goalkeeper at his age group in the area, but they showed true loyalty to our Club from day 1, and continue to support our Club to this day. His dad coaches one of our older teams, and Tommy’s older brother is still part of our Club!
